Chia-Hui Lu
Chia-Hui Lu entered the Graduate Institute of Applied Arts at Tainan University of the Arts in 1999, and is currently Assistant Professor of the Department of Material Arts and Design at the Tainan National University of the Arts, specializing in applied design of textile structures and fabric styling research. She seeks to integrate Taiwan’s local cultural imagery into textile art to portray the contemporary weaving scene in Taiwan.
Lu won 1st place at the 9th Taiwan Weaving Craft Competition in 2007, participated in Poland’s 13th Łódź International Tapestry Art Triennial Exhibition in 2010, and held the solo exhibition “Setting Up” at the K.A. Almgren Museum, Stockholm, Sweden in 2013.
